ABTS Convention Services Confirms Operational Continuity and Leadership Structure Following Passing of Founder Davide Veglia
North Bay Village, FL ABTS Convention Services, a global leader in international healthcare professional travel, housing, and compliance for U.S. medical meetings, today confirmed the full continuity of its operations and client services following the passing of its founder, Davide Veglia, on March 25, 2026.
Davide founded ABTS 31 years ago with a clear vision: to make international participation at U.S. medical meetings seamless, compliant, and professionally managed. Under his leadership, ABTS grew into the trusted partner of major medical associations, housing companies, and industry sponsors worldwide. His dedication to service, his deep knowledge of the industry, and his commitment to his team are the foundation on which ABTS stands today. His legacy will continue to guide the company forward.
LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE
Effective immediately, ABTS operates under the following leadership structure:
- Marta Fasoli, Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Fasoli assumes overall leadership of the company and holds final decision-making authority across all corporate matters.
- Daniel Zgrzemski, Executive Vice President, Finance. Mr. Zgrzemski oversees all financial operations, corporate administration.
- Lauren Rangel, Executive Vice President, Operations. Ms. Rangel oversees hotel operations, client delivery, and day-to-day operational management across all service divisions.
- Patricia Andrade, Executive Vice President, International Marketing and Compliance. Ms. Andrade oversees international marketing and communication strategy, global compliance functions, and industry partnerships, and serves as the primary liaison to the CEO.
This leadership team has collectively managed ABTS operations for over a decade and is fully prepared to lead the company through this transition and beyond.
OPERATIONAL CONTINUITY
ABTS wishes to affirm to all association partners, housing partners, industry sponsors, and service providers that:
- All existing client engagements, service agreements, and event programs are continuing on their original timelines and terms.
- All scheduled housing blocks, sponsored group programs, and travel coordination remain fully active and managed by the same experienced teams.
- All contractual obligations to partners and vendors are being honored in full and on schedule.
- All compliance services, international marketing campaigns, and technology platforms remain fully operational.
ABTS operates from offices in North Bay Village, Florida and Belgrade, Serbia, with a team that has deep institutional knowledge of every client relationship and active program. There has been no disruption to service delivery and none is anticipated.
